  My family and I just completed a month's stay at this lovely, quiet retreat and it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Rick and Pat went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful. From the moment we arrived on site, we were welcomed with a warm & friendly atmosphere that continued throughout our stay. We were provided a site near their wifi boosting tower, so that I would be able to continue my work mobily as I usually do from home. Kobi, the retreat's friendly canine and Inspector, the retreat's friendly feline, each ensured our visit was equally as enjoyable. They often stopped by to say hello, or provided an escort to/fr late night bathroom facility visits, etc. haha The bathroom/shower facilities were the cleanest we had experienced throughout our 2 month-long summer work/pleasure travels between BC and AB. The retreat is quiet, meticulously cared for and owned/operated by a lovely family. We highly recommend Elk Island Retreat to you and/or your family whether you're passing through the area, exploring in/around Edmonton/Sherwood Park/Fort Sask, etc, working nearby or simply looking for a quiet escape from the city. We look forward to future visits/stays.

  We've been camping around the province in a big tent for the last 4 years and this is where we usually start and finish our camping season. Never ever ever ever had any problems or concerns. Its quiet, clean and soooo relaxing. Rate is the best. If you are still not sure , go for a spin in elk island park and try to find a camping spot where your neighbors can't hear you fart. Good luck, you'll need it. Well, ill be there in the next 2 weeks. Its cheaper than therapy. Don't you dare go there to get drunky pants and have a party! Have respect, we are all family.
